The challenge

Rapid population growth had pushed the existing plant far beyond its design load, with untreated overflow reaching the Shatt al-Arab during peak summer months.

Our solution

WETIA delivered a turnkey phase-2 expansion: new secondary clarifiers, activated-sludge biological reactors and a plant-wide SCADA system, built in phases so the existing plant stayed online throughout.
